What we collect
When you send us a project brief or email us, we collect the details you choose to give us: usually your name, email address, information about your project and budget, and anything else you include in your message.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages securely. We do not use this to identify you.
How we use it, and why
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To deliver a project you’ve commissioned, under our contract with you.
- To keep records we’re legally required to keep, such as invoices.
We will not sell your information, and we won’t add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Who we share it with
We use a few trusted providers to run the business, such as our website host (Cloudflare) and our email provider Placeholder. They process data on our behalf under contracts that protect it. Some may store data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don’t lead to a project for Placeholder months, and client records for as long as the law requires, typically six years for financial records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it and, in some cases, to receive it in a portable form. To use any of these rights, email us. We’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not currently set any cookies for analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse; this doesn’t need your consent.
If we add analytics in future, we’ll only use them with your consent, ask you first through a clear banner, and update this page.
